Twinkling high above the earth
Ascending for a royal birth
Encircled by an angel’s choir,
Proclaiming God’s desire.
Shepherds knelt to the binding light
Attending their sheep that blessed night…
It lured wise men from afar,
They vowed to follow that guiding star.
Jesus was born in a cattle stall,
Then wrapped in a tattered shawl—
Beneath a Bethlehem’s sky,
Our Saviour’s mother sat nearby.
No matter where we are
You can see the Christmas star—
Look within your heart He called,
It’s the brightest star of all.
