PRAYERS FOR PROTECTION

I don’t know about you, but I often get emails with prayers attached that are supposed to be the “perfect prayer” for this or that. You know the ones. They come with a note saying “pray this prayer for a week and pass it on. It really works”. I guess in truth they do “really work” but not because we “pass them on”.

Matthew 21:22 says “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

Matthew 7:7-8 ”Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

From simple whispered words from the heart, pleading cries, or anywhere in between, our God hears us, if we are sincere, and at anytime and anywhere.

Our God is the God of all ages: Isaiah 30:19 (KJV)
“For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.”

There is no one formulated prayer for protection but we can all pray them. Whether it be for ourselves or others. Our God is a merciful God.

Psalms 121:7-8
“The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”

May God protect each one of us and keep us all in His care. Amen.
